Arrival in Arusha

You’ll need to arrange your flights to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) for domestic travel. Upon arrival, a WeGuide Africa Safaris representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. That evening or the following morning, you’ll meet your local guide for a detailed safari briefing. You’ll spend your first night at a peaceful accommodation, which is the perfect place to relax before your African adventure begins. This marks the start of your unforgettable Tanzania safari experience.

Lake Manyara National Park

  • You will be transferred to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to the Lake Manyara Airstrip. Upon arrival, you will be met by a representative from  Lake Manyara Tree Lodge who will take you on a game drive to the lodge.
  • Take the opportunity to relax after your long flight and enjoy the lodge, including the sparkling swimming pool and magnificent guest areas, or even treat yourself to a Healing Earth Wellness Treatment* in your room or in the massage sala nestled in the towering shady trees.
  • After sundowners at the lake, go on an exciting game drive – the park is famous for its unusual tree-climbing lions and the elephant herds it protects.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara on its east and the Manyara Escarpment to its west, the Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats supporting an array of wildlife. Set in a mahogany forest, andBeyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is the only permanent lodge in the Tanzania’s Lake Manyara National Park. Ten stilted treehouse suites, crafted from local timber and makuti palm fronds, offer privacy and exclusivity in cool, leafy surroundings. Each treehouse suite features generous decks suspended above the forest floor and large windows invite the lush forest inside. While the bedrooms are fitted with contemporary furnishing and billowing mosquito nets, the bathrooms feature freestanding baths and an outdoor shower. A central interactive kitchen allows guests to observe the preparation of delicious dishes that are enjoyed in the theatrical boma or on the open dining decks, with spectacular forest views. Ngorongoro Crater

  • Enjoy a scenic drive to the Lake Manyara airstrip on the escarpment. Upon arrival, you will be met by an WeGuide African Safaris representative who will drive you to your lodge on the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area.
  • The Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area is home to more than 30,000 protected animals. It is an area of spectacular beauty and excellent game viewing, a truly unique safari destination in Africa. The Ngorongoro Crater, once a gigantic volcano, is the largest intact caldera in the world. Today, long since having collapsed and eroded, it is an extensive highland area with the famous 600 m (1,968 ft) deep Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point.
  • Wake up early to the views of the Crater, and after breakfast head off for a full day game drive on the Crater floor, abundant with wildlife -view black rhino that are protected within its rim, giant tusked elephant, big-maned lion stalking the grasslands, and bright pink flamingos crowding the soda lakes.
  • Take a guided walk* on the rim of the Crater with your guide and relish sundowners with a sensational view.
  • In the evening, appreciate sublime wine at the Winestore*, where a special tasting can be arranged.

Ngorongoro Crater

Perched on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater,Ngorongoro Crater Lodge comprises three separate camps totaling just 30 suites. Each stilted, handcrafted mud and thatch suite is adorned with antiques, chandeliers and elegant African treasures and floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the magnificent Crater below. Ensuite bathrooms feature spacious showers and chandelier-lit bathtubs. A personal butler discretely caters for each guest’s every need, bringing tea in bed, stoking fireplaces and drawing luxurious bubble baths. Frequently described as Maasai meets Versailles, each camp has its own guest sitting and dining areas, as well as viewing decks.
