Wander through its narrow alleys, vibrant markets, and past intricately carved wooden doors, while learning about the town’s fascinating history, including a visit to the site of the former slave market.

In the afternoon, venture into the lush Zanzibari countryside for a guided tour of the spice plantations. Here, you’ll be greeted by the rich aromas of exotic spices like cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom, and gain insight into the island’s nickname—the Spice Island. This sensory experience offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and nature.

In the mid-morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Pemba Island. Upon arrival, enjoy an overnight stay on a bed-and-breakfast basis.

Known as “The Green Island,” Pemba lies within the Swahili Coast of the Indian Ocean, approximately 50 kilometers north of Unguja, the largest island in the Zanzibar archipelago. Pemba remains largely untouched by mass tourism, offering a more authentic and traditional experience. The island’s inhabitants are predominantly Muslim, and local customs are strongly preserved. You may see women wearing veils and encounter villagers who speak only Swahili.
